Ambient awareness

The glow that keeps you honest.

While you're focused, a warm amber light breathes softly at the edges of your screen. It's not a notification. It's not a pop-up. It's just a quiet reminder that time is passing — and you're using it well.

Peripheral signal — doesn't interrupt foveal vision
Pulse rate: slow 2.2s breath — relaxing, not urgent
Disappears the instant your focus session ends

Questions

Frequently Asked

Does TimeFo block notifications or apps?
No. TimeFo does not suppress notifications or interfere with any system feature. Instead, it signals focus through an ambient screen glow — a visual cue that respects your workflow without requiring any special permissions.
Will the timer widget cover my content?
No. TimeFo uses a non-activating NSPanel that floats above windows without stealing keyboard focus or blocking input. When collapsed to its dot state, it occupies roughly 10×10pt at the screen edge — imperceptible during work.
Does it run on Apple Silicon?
Yes — TimeFo is compiled as a Universal Binary targeting both Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) and Intel Macs. It runs natively on both architectures with no Rosetta translation layer.
What macOS versions are supported?
TimeFo requires macOS 13.0 Ventura or newer. It is tested on macOS 13, 14 (Sonoma), and 15 (Sequoia). The App Store handles updates automatically.
Can I move the widget to a different screen edge?
Yes. Simply drag the expanded pill to any position on screen. When you release, TimeFo detects the nearest edge and snaps to it with a smooth spring animation. Your chosen position is remembered between sessions.
Does TimeFo send any data externally?
None. TimeFo is fully sandboxed and contains zero analytics, telemetry, or network calls. Every preference is stored locally on your Mac. No account required.
